From Mithras to Mass
The Roman Empire did not abandon sun worship when it adopted Christianity — it absorbed Christianity into its existing solar religion.
Mithraism, the cult of Sol Invictus, and the priesthood of Babylon flowed directly into Papal Rome. The halo, the December 25th birth, the Sun-day Sabbath, the elevated priesthood, the wafer held up to the sun — none of it came from Scripture.
The Roman Empire did not abandon sun worship when it adopted Christianity. It absorbed Christianity into its existing solar religion. Constantine did not convert — he consolidated. The result was a new institution that spoke the language of the Messiah while carrying the bones of Mithras.
This page traces the unbroken line from the Mithraic temples of imperial Rome to the cathedrals of the Vatican, showing that what the world calls Christianity is, in many of its forms, repackaged sun worship.
