The Sacred Act
Where the Temple Met the Bedroom
The sexual religion hidden inside sun worship
This study reveals the truth that the ancient world understood and the modern world has forgotten: sun worship and sexual worship are the same thing. They are not two separate practices that happen to overlap. They are one system.
The sun was understood as the masculine generative force that "impregnates" the earth. The earth was the feminine womb that receives the sun's power and produces life. Temple prostitution was the human body reenacting what the sun does to the earth. The obelisk is the phallus of the sun god. The circle is the womb of the earth goddess. And the holidays bring this worship into your home under the label of "tradition."
Once you see this, you cannot unsee it. And once you understand it, the holidays, the symbols on the currency, the architecture of the world's capitals, and the structure of the world's most powerful institutions all begin to make a very different kind of sense.
"Who exchanged the truth of Yahuah for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen."
— Romans 1:25

I The Foundational Myth — The Sun as the Generative Force +
To understand how sun worship and sexual worship are the same thing, you have to start at the foundation. In the ancient pagan worldview, the sun was not merely a light in the sky. It was the masculine generative force of the universe. The sun's heat and light made the earth produce life. Without the sun, nothing grows. Nothing is born. Nothing lives. The ancients understood this, and they deified it.
The earth, in turn, was the feminine receptive force — the womb that received the sun's power and brought forth life. The sun penetrates the earth with its rays. The earth receives that energy and produces crops, animals, and children. This was the foundational theology of the ancient world: the sun is the father, the earth is the mother, and all life is the product of their union.
This is not metaphor. This is exactly how the ancients understood reality. The Babylonian queen Semiramis claimed to be impregnated by the rays of the sun to conceive her son Tammuz. The sun's rays were literally understood as the sun god's seed. Tammuz was the "son of the sun" — the product of the cosmic sexual act between the sun (father) and the earth/queen (mother). This is the foundational myth of the Babylonian mystery religion, and it spread to every corner of the ancient world under different names: Osiris and Isis (Egypt), Baal and Asherah (Canaan), Zeus and Hera (Greece), Jupiter and Juno (Rome).
The implications of this theology are enormous. If the sun's power is sexual power, then worshipping the sun means participating in that sexual power. And that is exactly what happened.
▸ What Scripture Says
Genesis 1:16 — "Then Elohim made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day." The sun is a creation of Yahuah — a tool, a lamp, a servant. It is not a god. It has no generative will. It has no sexual power. It is a light bulb hung in the sky by the Creator. Worshipping the sun is worshipping the creation instead of the Creator (Romans 1:25).
II Temple Prostitution — How Sun Worship Was Practiced Through Sex +
If the sun's power is sexual, then the logical way to worship the sun is through sex. And that is exactly what the ancient world did. Temple prostitution — also called sacred prostitution or ritual sex — was practiced at the temples of nearly every major pagan deity in the ancient Near East and Mediterranean: Baal, Asherah/Ashtoreth, Ishtar, Isis, Aphrodite, Venus, Dionysus, and others.
This was not prostitution in the modern sense. It was worship. The sexual act at the temple was the worshipper's participation in the cosmic drama of the sun fertilizing the earth. The male worshipper represented the sun god. The temple priestess represented the earth goddess. Their union was a reenactment of the sun's impregnation of the earth. By performing the act, they believed they were activating the generative power of the universe — ensuring the fertility of crops, livestock, and families.
This is why sexual immorality and idolatry are always connected in Scripture. They are not two separate sins that happen to occur together. They are the same sin. Baal worship was sexual worship. Asherah worship was sexual worship. The "high places" and "groves" where Israel sinned were the locations where ritual sex took place. Every time Scripture condemns Israel for "playing the harlot" with foreign gods, it is describing both spiritual and physical adultery — because in sun worship, they are inseparable.
The Hebrew word for temple prostitute is qadesh (קדש) — literally meaning "holy one" or "consecrated one." The prostitutes were considered holy because their sexual act was worship. This is the darkest irony of paganism: the most profane act was called the most sacred.
▸ What Scripture Says
Numbers 25:1–3 — "Israel began to commit harlotry with the women of Moab. They invited the people to the sacrifices of their gods, and the people ate and bowed down to their gods. So Israel was joined to Baal of Peor." Sexual sin and Baal worship are one act.
1 Kings 14:23–24 — "They built high places, sacred pillars, and Asherim on every high hill and under every green tree. And there were also perverted persons [qadesh — temple prostitutes] in the land."
Deuteronomy 23:17 — "There shall be no ritual harlot of the daughters of Israel, or a perverted one of the sons of Israel."
Hosea 4:12–14 — "My people ask counsel from their wooden idols... they offer sacrifices on the mountaintops and burn incense on the hills, under oaks, poplars, and terebinths, because their shade is good. Therefore your daughters commit harlotry, and your brides commit adultery."
III The Obelisk — The Phallus of the Sun God +
If the sun's power is sexual, then the most obvious symbol of that power would be a representation of the male reproductive organ. That symbol is the obelisk. The obelisk is a tall, four-sided, tapering stone pillar with a pyramid-shaped top. It originated in ancient Egypt, where it was explicitly understood as a representation of the sun god's generative power — specifically, a representation of the phallus.
According to Egyptian mythology, the god Osiris was killed and his body cut into pieces. His wife Isis found all the pieces except one — his phallus. She fashioned a replacement and, through magical ritual, conceived their son Horus. The obelisk was erected as a representation of Osiris's lost and restored phallus — the sun god's generative member standing erect, reaching toward heaven.
The obelisk that stands in the center of St. Peter's Square at the Vatican was cut from a single block of red granite during the Fifth Dynasty of Egypt to stand at the Temple of the Sun in Heliopolis (the "City of the Sun" — called "On" in the Bible). It was originally topped with a golden ball symbolizing the sun. Pope Sixtus V moved it to its current location in 1586 and replaced the golden sun ball with a cross. He even performed an exorcism on the obelisk before placing the cross on top. The phallus of the Egyptian sun god stands at the center of Christendom, with a cross on top.
The Washington Monument in Washington, D.C. is the world's tallest obelisk at 555 feet. It was designed and built largely by Freemasons. It is aligned so that on December 25th at 11:00 AM, the shadow of the obelisk enters the Ellipse (an oval park south of the White House) — symbolically reenacting the sun's impregnation of the earth on the sun god's birthday. The phallus penetrates the womb. On Christmas Day.
Obelisks stand in London (Cleopatra's Needle), Paris (Place de la Concorde), New York (Central Park), and in cities worldwide. Church steeples are architectural derivatives of the obelisk — tall, pointed structures reaching toward heaven. The Hebrew word for these standing pillars is matstsebah (מצבה), translated as "image" or "pillar" in the KJV. Another Hebrew word, chamman (חמן), means "sun-pillar." Both are condemned repeatedly in Scripture.
Masonic author Albert Mackey (33rd degree) wrote openly: "The point within the circle is an important symbol in Freemasonry... it is a beautiful but somewhat abstruse allusion to the old sun-worship and introduces us to the modification of it known among the ancients as the worship of the phallus." The point within the circle = the phallus within the womb = the sun within the earth = the obelisk within the circular plaza. This is not a conspiracy theory. This is a 33rd-degree Mason explaining his own symbols.
▸ What Scripture Says
Exodus 23:24 — "You shall utterly overthrow them and completely break down their sacred pillars [matstsebah]."
Exodus 34:13 — "You shall destroy their altars, break their sacred pillars, and cut down their Asherim."
Leviticus 26:1 — "You shall not make idols for yourselves; neither a carved image nor a sacred pillar shall you rear up for yourselves; nor shall you set up an engraved stone in your land, to bow down to it."
Jeremiah 43:13 — "He shall also break the sacred pillars of Beth Shemesh [literally: 'House of the Sun'] that are in the land of Egypt."
2 Kings 23:11 — Josiah "removed the horses that the kings of Judah had dedicated to the sun, at the entrance to the house of Yahuah... and burned the chariots of the sun with fire."
IV The Sun Wheel — The Womb of the Earth Goddess +
If the obelisk represents the phallus, the circle represents the womb. When an obelisk is placed inside a circle, it represents the sexual union of the sun god and the earth goddess — the cosmic act that produces all life.
Look at St. Peter's Square from above. The obelisk (phallus) stands at the exact center of a massive circular plaza (womb). The plaza is designed as an eight-rayed sun wheel — the symbol of Ishtar. The obelisk in the center of the sun wheel is the most explicit representation of the sun god's sexual union with the earth goddess that exists anywhere in the world. And it sits at the heart of the Roman Catholic Church.
Pope Benedict XVI himself acknowledged that the obelisk in St. Peter's Square functions as a sundial, tracking the sun's position through the zodiac signs marked in the pavement. The Vatican's central monument is, by the pope's own admission, a solar tracking device standing in a sun wheel. The sun worship symbolism is not hidden. It is celebrated.
The Celtic cross (a cross with a sun circle at the intersection) is the same concept in a smaller form: the cross (representing the four cardinal directions and four seasons) inside the sun circle. St. Patrick placed this symbol at the center of Irish Christianity. Sun wheels, circles, and rings appear throughout pagan and modern symbolism wherever the solar/sexual worship system has taken root.
▸ What Scripture Says
Ezekiel 8:16 — "And there, at the door of the temple of Yahuah, between the porch and the altar, were about twenty-five men with their backs toward the temple of Yahuah and their faces toward the east, and they were worshiping the sun toward the east."
Yahuah showed Ezekiel the sun worship happening in His own temple and called it one of the greatest abominations. Today, the sun god's phallus stands at the center of the church that claims to represent Him on earth.
V Freemasonry — The Modern Custodians of Sun Worship +
Freemasonry is the primary modern institution that has preserved, codified, and transmitted the symbols and theology of ancient sun worship into the modern world. This is not an accusation from outsiders — it is openly stated by Freemasonry's own highest-ranking authors.
Albert Pike (33rd degree, Sovereign Grand Commander of the Scottish Rite) wrote: "The worship of the Sun became the basis of all the religions of antiquity." He also wrote: "Osiris and Isis were the Sun and Moon... and [Osiris] is the All-Seeing Eye in our Lodges."
Albert Mackey (33rd degree) wrote that the Masonic symbol of the point within a circle is "an allusion to the old sun-worship and introduces us to the worship of the phallus." He explicitly connected Masonic symbolism to solar and sexual worship.
Masonic lodges are oriented east to west — facing the rising sun, exactly as Ezekiel 8:16 describes. The Worshipful Master sits in the east (representing the rising sun). The Senior Warden sits in the west (the setting sun). The Junior Warden sits in the south (the sun at its zenith). The entire lodge is a model of the sun's journey across the sky. Initiates are brought from darkness (the west) to light (the east) — symbolically participating in the sun's daily resurrection.
The All-Seeing Eye — which appears on the U.S. one-dollar bill above the unfinished pyramid — is, according to Masonic authors, a symbol of both the sun and the deity. Masonic literature states that "sun worship antedated almost all, if not all, other forms of worship" and that the eye is "also, and for the same reason, a symbol of the sun." The All-Seeing Eye on American currency is a solar worship symbol placed on the world's reserve currency by men who understood exactly what it meant.
Many of America's founding fathers were Freemasons: George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Paul Revere, John Hancock, and others. Washington, D.C. was laid out by Freemason Pierre Charles L'Enfant, and the city's major monuments — the Washington Monument (obelisk), the Capitol Building (dome = womb of the goddess), and the street layout — reflect Masonic and solar worship symbolism.
▸ What Scripture Says
2 Corinthians 11:14–15 — "For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness."
Freemasonry calls its initiates "sons of light" who journey from darkness to light. They seek "the light" from the east (the rising sun). Their highest symbol is the All-Seeing Eye (the sun). They openly acknowledge their roots in sun worship. And many of the world's most powerful institutions bear their symbols.
VI The Pattern in Government and Culture +
Once you understand that sun worship is sexual worship, and that its symbols are the obelisk (phallus), the circle/dome (womb), the sun wheel, the all-seeing eye, and the east-facing orientation, you begin to see these symbols everywhere in modern power structures.
The Vatican: An Egyptian obelisk (originally from the Temple of the Sun) stands inside a sun wheel at the center of St. Peter's Square. The church replaced the golden sun ball with a cross but kept the phallus in the womb. Pope Sixtus V exorcised the obelisk — acknowledging the demonic power within it — but kept it standing.
Washington, D.C.: The Washington Monument (obelisk/phallus) is aligned with the Capitol Building (dome/womb). The monument's shadow enters the Ellipse on December 25th. The All-Seeing Eye sits on the dollar bill. The city was designed by Freemasons.
London: Cleopatra's Needle (an Egyptian obelisk) stands on the banks of the Thames. London is one of three "city-states" (along with Vatican City and Washington, D.C.) that function as independent power centers within their host nations. All three have obelisks.
The Entertainment Industry: Sun worship and sexual symbolism pervade music, film, and media. The normalization of sexual imagery, the glorification of lust, and the use of occult/solar symbols in entertainment are not accidental. They are the cultural expression of the same system that built the obelisks.
The connection between the most powerful institutions on earth and ancient sun/sexual worship symbolism raises profound questions. Why do the Vatican, the U.S. government, and the financial centers of the world all display the same symbols — obelisks, domes, sun wheels, all-seeing eyes — that trace directly to Babylonian sun worship and its sexual rites? The reader must examine the evidence and draw their own conclusions.
▸ What Scripture Says
Revelation 17:5 — "And on her forehead a name was written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH."
Revelation 18:3 — "For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich through the abundance of her luxury."
Babylon's system involves fornication (sexual), kings (government), and merchants (commerce). The harlot system is religious, political, and economic — and her symbols stand in the Vatican, in Washington, and in the financial capitals of the world.
VII The Holidays — How Sun Worship Enters Your Home +
The obelisks, domes, and sun wheels are in the capitals of the world. But how does sun worship enter the average home? Through the holidays.
Christmas (December 25th): The birthday of Sol Invictus, the unconquered sun god. The date is the winter solstice — the "rebirth" of the sun. The Christmas tree is the Asherah — a pagan sexual worship object. The Yule log was burned to coax the sun back. Candles and lights represent the sun's return.
Easter: Named after a dawn/sun goddess. Dated by the spring equinox (a solar event). The sunrise service reproduces Ezekiel 8:16 — facing the rising sun. Lent is 40 days of mourning for the dying sun god Tammuz. Hot cross buns bear the sun-cross of Tammuz.
Valentine's Day: The sexual dimension of sun worship brought into the open. Cupid traces to Tammuz (the sun god). Venus traces to Ishtar (the queen of heaven whose worship was temple prostitution). Roses grew from the blood of a sun god. The holiday celebrates erotic desire — the sun god's sexual power mythologized as romance.
New Year's Day: Honors Janus, whose temple tracked the solar year. The Gregorian calendar is a solar calendar that replaced Yahuah's lunar calendar. The midnight celebration is a threshold ritual connected to the solar cycle.
Halloween: The Celtic festival of Samhain, centered on the death of the sun at the transition to the dark half of the year. Bonfires were lit to strengthen the dying sun. The entire festival is about the sun's descent into death and the spirit world's response.
St. Patrick's Day: The Celtic cross is a sun circle on a cross. Patrick superimposed the sun onto the cross as a conversion strategy. Bonfires (solar fire) were incorporated into Irish Christianity.
Through these holidays, the symbols and theology of ancient sun/sexual worship enter the lives of billions of people every year. The obelisks stand in the capitals. The symbols appear on the currency. And the festivals bring the worship into your home, your family, and your children's memory — all under the label of "tradition."

▸ What Scripture Says
Deuteronomy 12:30–32 — "You shall not worship Yahuah your Elohim in that way; for every abomination to Yahuah which He hates they have done to their gods... Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it."
― Final Word ―
Sun worship is not a relic of the ancient world. It is alive. Its symbols stand in the Vatican, in Washington, and in London. Its theology is encoded in Freemasonry and transmitted through its members into government, law, finance, and culture. Its festivals are the holidays the entire world celebrates. Its sexual expression is the dominant cultural force of our age. And its obelisks — the phallus of the sun god — stand as monuments in the most powerful cities on earth, hidden in plain sight.
Yahuah saw this coming. He warned about it. He condemned it. He told His people to tear it down, burn it, and walk away from it. And He provided an alternative: His appointed times (Leviticus 23), His calendar (Exodus 12:2), His worship (in spirit and in truth, John 4:24), and His Son, Yahushua the Messiah, who is the true light of the world (John 8:12) — not the sun.
Salvation comes through Yahushua alone, by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8–9). Once saved, we walk in His commandments out of love (John 14:15). That walk means coming out of the system — out of its holidays, out of its symbols, out of its calendar, and out of its version of "love" and "light."
"Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues."
— Revelation 18:4
