Biblical Cosmology
What Yahuah Actually Said About Where You Live
Modern Christianity performs an extraordinary act of mental gymnastics every time it opens the Bible. It reads the word of the Creator — the one who says He made the heavens and the earth — and then quietly sets aside everything He says about how He made them and what they look like. The firmament becomes a metaphor. The foundations become poetry. The circle becomes a sphere. The pillars become figurative language. And the entire cosmological testimony of Scripture is dismissed as "ancient people not knowing any better."
This study does something the modern church refuses to do: it reads what Yahuah said at face value, compiles every relevant verse, and asks one question — if you believe this is the Word of the Creator, why don't you believe what He said about His creation?
The Firmament
On the second day of creation, Yahuah made the single most important structural element of the entire cosmos — and the modern church has no idea what it is.
▸ Genesis 1:6–8
"And Elohim said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And Elohim made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. And Elohim called the firmament Heaven."
The Hebrew word is raqiya (רקיע). It comes from the root raqa (רקע), meaning to beat, stamp, or spread out — as a metalworker hammers metal into a thin sheet. This is not the language of empty space. This is the language of a solid, physical structure.
The firmament divides the waters above from the waters below. Modern cosmology says there is no water above — only the vacuum of space. Yahuah says otherwise:
▸ Psalm 148:4
"Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens."
▸ Genesis 7:11
"In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened."
Windows of heaven. Not a metaphor. The firmament has openings through which the waters above can be released. This is how the flood of Noah operated — the windows of the firmament were opened, and the waters that Yahuah had placed above the firmament came pouring through.
▸ Job 37:18
"Hast thou with him spread out the sky, which is strong, and as a molten looking glass?"
Yahuah asks Job directly: have you spread out the sky, which is strong — and like a molten looking glass? Strong. Solid. Reflective like metal. This is not a description of a gas atmosphere fading into a vacuum. This is a description of a built structure.
▸ Genesis 1:17
"And Elohim set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth."
On the fourth day, Yahuah placed the sun, moon, and stars in the firmament — not beyond it, not millions of light years away, but within this structure. The luminaries are set inside a constructed canopy. Not scattered across an infinite void.
Foundations, Measures, and a Corner Stone
When Yahuah finally answered Job out of the whirlwind, He did not describe a spinning ball hurtling through infinite space. He described a built structure with engineering language that would make an architect reach for his tools.
▸ Job 38:4–7
"Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it? Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof; When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of Elohim shouted for joy?"
Foundations. Measures. A stretched line. A corner stone. Fastened. Every word in this passage is the language of architecture and construction. A sphere has no foundations. A sphere has no corner stone. A sphere has no line stretched upon it. A sphere is not fastened to anything. Yahuah is describing the earth as a built structure with intentional dimensions, anchored in place.
▸ 1 Samuel 2:8
"For the pillars of the earth are Yahuah's, and he hath set the world upon them."
▸ Psalm 75:3
"The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I bear up the pillars of it. Selah."
The earth rests on pillars. It does not float in a void. It does not spin through space. It is borne up — supported, upheld, set upon a foundation. A spinning globe has no pillars. The earth Yahuah describes does.
Circle, Not Sphere
▸ Isaiah 40:22
"It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in."
Some have claimed this verse proves the earth is a sphere. It does the opposite. The Hebrew word used here is chug (חוג) — meaning a circle, a compass, a circuit drawn on a flat surface. It is the word you would use when drawing a circle with a compass on a piece of paper.
If Isaiah had meant a sphere, he had the word available. In Isaiah 22:18, he uses the word dur (דור) — which means a ball:
▸ Isaiah 22:18
"He will surely violently turn and toss thee like a ball [dur] into a large country."
Isaiah knew the difference between a circle and a ball. He used the word for circle in 40:22, not the word for ball. And the heavens are stretched over this circle like a curtain — like a tent. A tent over a circle. A dome over a disc. That is the picture.

What Yahuah Said — Plainly
Select each section to examine the scriptural testimony on the nature of the earth and sky.
Testimony OneThe Earth Does Not Move+
▸ 1 Chronicles 16:30
"Fear before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved."
▸ Psalm 93:1
"Yahuah reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; Yahuah is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved."
▸ Psalm 104:5
"Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever."
Four verses. One message. The earth does not move. Modern cosmology says the earth is spinning at over 1,000 miles per hour at the equator, orbiting the sun at 67,000 miles per hour, traveling with the solar system around the galaxy at 500,000 miles per hour, and the galaxy itself is racing through the universe at over 1.3 million miles per hour. That is four simultaneous motions — none of which you have ever felt, observed, or measured personally. Either the Psalms, Chronicles, and Job are all lying, or the institutions built by Hermetic occultists are lying. You cannot hold both.
Testimony TwoThe Sun Moves, Not the Earth+
▸ Psalm 19:4–6
"In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun, which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race. His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof."
The sun has a tabernacle — a dwelling place. It goes forth and runs a circuit. It has a starting point and an ending point. Scripture describes the sun as the object in motion, not the earth.
▸ Joshua 10:12–13
"Then spake Joshua to Yahuah in the day when Yahuah delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon. And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies."
Joshua commanded the sun to stand still. Not the earth to stop spinning. If the sun is already stationary in a heliocentric model, this command is nonsensical. If the sun is the one in motion, the command is straightforward.
Testimony ThreeEnds, Breadth, and Four Corners+
A sphere has no ends. A sphere has no corners. A sphere has no breadth. But Scripture repeatedly describes the earth with all three.
▸ Job 38:13, 18
"That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it? ... Hast thou perceived the breadth of the earth? declare if thou knowest it all."
▸ Isaiah 11:12
"And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth."
▸ Revelation 7:1
"And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree."
Ends. Breadth. Four corners. Four quarters. Uttermost parts. This language appears from Genesis to Revelation, from the Torah to the words of Yahushua Himself. It is consistent, repeated, and unambiguous. A sphere has none of these features. A flat plane with boundaries has all of them.
Testimony FourThe Book of Enoch: A Cosmological Map+
The Book of Enoch was quoted by Jude (Jude 1:14–15) and its influence runs throughout the New Testament. Chapters 72–82, known as the Book of the Heavenly Luminaries, contain the most detailed cosmological description in any ancient Hebrew text.
▸ 1 Enoch 72:2–5
"The sun is a luminary whose egress is an opening of heaven, which is located in the direction of the east, and whose ingress is another opening of heaven, located in the west. The sun sets in the sky in the west and returns by the northeast in order to go to the east; it is guided so that it shall reach the eastern gate and shine in the face of the sky."
▸ 1 Enoch 18:1–5
"And I saw the winds which turn the sky and cause the disc of the sun and all the stars to set. And I saw the winds on the Earth which support the clouds and I saw the paths of the Angels. I saw at the end of the Earth; the firmament of Heaven above."
Pillars of heaven. Storehouses of the winds. Gates for the luminaries. The end of the earth where the firmament rests. A complete, functional cosmology that bears no resemblance to the heliocentric model but perfectly aligns with Genesis, Job, the Psalms, and Isaiah.
Why Believers Go Silent
Every verse in this study is from the Word of Yahuah. Every believer who reads this will say they believe the Bible. And yet the moment these verses are read plainly — as descriptions of the physical world rather than as poetry or metaphor — something happens. The same Christian who will fight to the death over John 3:16 will suddenly become a literary critic when confronted with Job 38 or Psalm 19. The same believer who insists on a literal six-day creation will insist that the firmament is figurative.
Why? Because acknowledging what these verses actually say requires rejecting the most deeply held assumption of the modern world: that the earth is a spinning ball orbiting the sun. And that assumption was not given to you by Scripture. It was given to you by men whose documented spiritual allegiances are to the Hermetic tradition, the occult sciences, and the mystery religions of Babylon.
The question is not whether you are smart enough to understand these verses. The question is whether you are brave enough to believe them.
▸ Romans 3:4
"Yea, let Elohim be true, but every man a liar."
Every man. Every scientist. Every institution. Every textbook. Every composite image. Let Elohim be true. The question was never about evidence. It was always about faith — and the only question is whose word do you trust?
▸ Proverbs 30:5
"Every word of Eloah is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him."
