This reading companions the breakdown of Mark 4:26–29. Nothing is argued here — the parable runs start to finish, with the meaning of each image carried alongside the words it belongs to.

MARK 4:26–29 — KJV

And he said, So is the kingdom of Yahuah [where He rules from inside a man, and not from a building or an office] as if a man should cast seed [the word of Yahuah, His own instruction, handed to another man to be lived] into the ground; [the heart, where Moses said the word was to be kept so that the man would do it] And should sleep, and rise night and day, [the sower goes on with his own life, and nothing he does after the sowing adds anything to the crop] and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how. [no man watches the word work inside another man, and no man can measure how far along it is] For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; [the growing is Yahuah’s own working, out of the sower’s hands, on terms Yahuah set long before] first the blade, [a man in whom the instruction has taken hold and come alive] then the ear, [that instruction forming into a way of living — what he eats, which day he stops, how he treats the man next to him, what he will no longer do] after that the full corn in the ear. [a life that does what Yahuah said, all the way through] But when the fruit is brought forth, [when the crop stands to its full height and there is nothing left in it to come] immediately he putteth in the sickle, [the blade Joel was commanded to put in when a field had ripened] because the harvest is come. [the day is not called by the sower; the ripeness calls it]

Put together, the parable says this. Yahuah’s instruction is planted inside a man. It grows there by His own working, out of sight, on a schedule no one is shown, and the man who carried it to him can neither hurry it nor grade it. What comes up is that instruction turned into a walk — obedience arriving in stages until it stands full. The standing crop is what the sowing was for.

The last line is where it lands. Yahushua closed with Joel’s sentence, and Joel’s sickle goes into a field because that field has ripened, with the valley of decision in the next breath. A full field is not a safe field. It is a field about to be cut, and what is standing in it on that day is whatever the word became in the man it was given to.
