Alpha and Omega — Who Speaks?

The disputed voice of Revelation’s last chapter

— The Standing Stone —

Behind “LORD” in your Bible lies a hidden name — in the Hebrew it is Yahuah Psalm 83:18; Yahuah is the Father Isaiah 63:16; Yahuah is the only God, beside Him there is no other Isaiah 45:5; therefore Yahuah the Father is the only true God, leaving no room for a second or third person 1 Corinthians 8:6.

The Titles He Was Given

A title of Yahuah on the Son is worn by gift — a shared title was never a shared identity

Foundation: The Titles He Was Given →

1 — The Claim

“I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last” (22:13) is read as Yahushua speaking, claiming the title Yahuah uses of Himself in 1:8 — and so claiming to be Yahuah.

2 — Whose Voice, and Whose Title

Three things unsettle the claim. First, the speaker here is disputed: Revelation’s last chapter changes voices without warning, the Greek carries no quotation marks, and the Son names himself only three verses on — “I Jesus have sent mine angel” Revelation 22:16. Second, where “Alpha and Omega” stands undisputed, it is the Father’s: He signs the book with it in 1:8 as “the Almighty,” and the One seated on the throne speaks it again in 21:6 Revelation 1:8 Revelation 21:6. Third, the one verse that seems to weld the title plainly onto the Son — the King James “I am Alpha and Omega” of 1:11 — is a scribal addition absent from the oldest Greek manuscripts, which the modern translations drop back out.

Even granting the Son speaks in 22:13, the title lands as every title lands on him: as the beginning and the end of the new creation Yahuah is making through him — “the beginning, the firstborn from the dead” Colossians 1:18.

Conclusion

The Verdict

The one verse that would put “Alpha and Omega” plainly on the Son is a disputed voice resting on a copyist’s line. It proves nothing the Father’s own title does not already own.
