One God, One Name, One Throne

Say them out loud. Prayer. Blessed. Forgive. Glory. Sin. World. You use these words every week. You have never been told what they weigh.

They were never deleted — that is the strange part. Every one of them is still preached, still sung, still printed in the bulletin, spoken so often and so lightly that no one notices the weight has drained out of them. The pulpit did not bury the words. It buried what they carried. Prayer lost its plea, until mediation became passive talking. Blessed lost its direction, until it described the recipient instead of naming the Source. Forgive lost its cost, until a transaction became a mood. Glory lost its substance, until weight became a feeling. Sin lost its measure, until there was no mark left to miss. The world lost its enemy, until a hostile system became a neutral planet.

Six words, still standing, hollowed out one at a time — until the ground they held up began to give.

These words are load-bearing. They hold up how a man approaches Yahuah, and drained of their weight they crumble like pillars with nothing left inside them. But dig past the words, down through the rubble into the bedrock, and you find the thing they always rested on. A throne. Unmoved. Exactly where it has always been.

This volume is the companion to What the Pulpit Buried, and it follows the same dig-site method: one word at a time, down through the English, into the Hebrew and the Greek, KJV in hand, until every word carries its full weight again. Palal — to stand between and plead. Barak — to bend the knee and send praise up. Nasa — to lift the debt off and carry it away. Kavod — the heaviness of the One who sits. Chata — to miss the mark you were measured against. Kosmos — the rival kingdom outside the gate. Restore all six and they point the same direction — down, to one seat, where Yahuah alone is enthroned and Yahushua the Messiah stands as the appointed Mediator, the one who carries us there and never takes the chair.
