Samech

Prop · Support · Uphold

"The letter Samech is a prop or support — a structure that holds everything else up. Hebrews 1:3 says Yahushua upholds all things by the word of His power. This is written specifically and exclusively about the Son."

Concept — The One Who Upholds

The Samech is the support beneath everything else. Without it, what it holds collapses. Hebrews 1 describes Yahushua as the one upholding all things by the word of His power — and then immediately connects that to His work of purging sin and sitting at the right hand of Yahuah. The upholding and the atonement are the same act from different angles. Isaiah confirms it — the Servant is the one Yahuah upholds, the Elect One in whom the Father delights, and Matthew quotes that passage directly in connection with Yahushua's ministry.

Hebrews 1:3 "Upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high."
Isaiah 42:1 "Behold! My Servant whom I uphold, My Elect One in whom My soul delights." — Yahuah speaking specifically about His Servant.
Matthew 12:20 "A bruised reed He will not break, and smoking flax He will not quench." — Matthew quoting Isaiah 42, applied directly to Yahushua's ministry.
