John 12:49-50 — As the Father Said Unto Me, So I Speak

Moses said Yahuah would put His words in the Prophet's mouth, and Yahushua said that is what happened.

Whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.

John 12:50

“For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak” (John 12:49). “Whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak” (John 12:50).

Moses foretold it. Yahuah said, “I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him” (Deuteronomy 18:18).

A Prophet from among their brethren. Words placed in his mouth. Speaking what he is commanded. That is what Yahushua said of himself. He did not claim to be the source of the words. He was the Prophet who carried them.
