Matthew 12:28 — By the Spirit of God

Yahushua said, “But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you” (Matthew 12:28). He did not claim the power as his own. He said it came by the Spirit of God.

Luke records the same words another way: “But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you” (Luke 11:20). The Spirit of God is the finger of God. A finger is not a second person standing beside a man. It is the man himself at work.

The Spirit is not a third person in a Godhead. It is Yahuah’s own power, and Yahushua gave Him the credit for every devil that left.
