Acts 10:38 — God Anointed Him
An anointed one receives from someone greater, and Peter said God was with him.
How God anointed Yahushua of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
Acts 10:38
Peter told Cornelius “how God anointed Yahushua of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him” (Acts 10:38).
Messiah means anointed one. Someone has to do the anointing, and Peter names Him: God. The one anointing gives. The one anointed receives. The healings happened “for God was with him.”
Isaiah wrote it long before: “The Spirit of the Lord Yahuah is upon me; because Yahuah hath anointed me” (Isaiah 61:1). Yahushua read that passage in the synagogue and said, “This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears” (Luke 4:21). The anointed is not the One who anoints.
