Philippians 2:13 — It Is God Which Worketh in You

Philippians 2 is one of the most used chapters to teach that Yahushua is God. But read where it lands. Every tongue confesses “that Yahushua Messiah is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:11). The glory goes to the Father.

Two verses later Paul says who is at work: “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure” (Philippians 2:13). The God at work in the believers is the God named in verse 11, the Father.

The Father worked in the Son, and the Father works in us. That is why Paul could write, “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Messiah Yahushua” (Philippians 2:5). The mind of the Son was a mind yielded to the Father.
