Rev 14:20

The Flood rose "fifteen cubits upward" over forty days (Gen 7:12, 20), but water erases without a record. Blood is different: Abel's blood cries (Gen 4:10), and "blood it defileth the land" until it is answered (Num 35:33). Isaiah treads the winepress alone, "their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments" (Isa 63:3). In Rev 14:20 blood rises to the horses' bridles; it remembers, testifies, and demands an accounting, overwhelming the instruments of resistance. The 1,600 stadia are forty times forty, the number of testing squared, measured against the Flood's forty days and Israel's forty years (Num 14:33-34). The futurist picture of a literal two-hundred-mile river of blood at a Middle East battlefield ignores the number's symbolism.
