Jacob first names the place "the gate of heaven" (Gen 28:17), where a ladder joins earth to Yahuah's presence. Micaiah saw "Yahuah sitting on his throne" (1 Kgs 22:19), Isaiah saw Him "high and lifted up" (Isa 6:1), and Ezekiel wrote, "the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of Elohim" (Ezek 1:1). Each time a prophet is summoned to see the court and return with its word. Revelation's open door is that summons, not a mystical experience: a camera change from earth's problem to heaven's response. The secret-rapture reading of "Come up hither" fails; one prophet is called up, and the assembly remains on the earth through chapters 7, 11 and 12.
