The high priest's breastplate held twelve stones in four rows; the first stone of the first row was a sardius and the last of the fourth row a jasper (Exod 28:17-20; 39:10-13). Ezekiel lists these stones among the covering of the anointed cherub in Eden (Ezek 28:13). In Revelation 4:3 the One seated on the throne is like a jasper and a sardine stone. Naming only the first and last stones frames Yahuah as the One who stands at the beginning and the end of covenant history. The throne holds one Sitter; the Lamb comes and takes the scroll from His hand (Rev 5:7), which a Trinitarian shared throne cannot explain.
