Rev 12:14

At Sinai Yahuah reminds Israel, "I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself" (Exod 19:4); the Song of Moses pictures the eagle stirring her nest and bearing her young (Deut 32:11-12), and Isaiah gives the same wings to those who wait on Yahuah (Isa 40:31). The wings never removed Israel from the earth; they carried her through the wilderness to the mountain of covenant. In Revelation 12:14 the woman is lifted the same way, into the wilderness and "from the face of the serpent": not invisible to him, but outside his jurisdiction. Secret-rapture teaching reads the wings as escape from the earth, yet the text places the woman in the wilderness, nourished there, not removed from it.
