Man is made on the sixth day (Gen 1:26-31), and the seventh is Yahuah's rest (Gen 2:2-3); six stands short of completion. Scripture marks the number where man's glory swells: Solomon's "six hundred threescore and six talents of gold" (1 Kgs 10:14) and Nebuchadnezzar's image, sixty cubits by six (Dan 3:1). "Cursed be the man that trusteth in man" (Jer 17:5). In Revelation 13:18 arithmos means identification, found through discernment, not calculation; the Greek letters chi, xi, stigma read as a corrupted likeness of the Messiah, and the 616 of a few witnesses does not alter the point. Name gematria and chip schemes are numerology, which Isaiah 47:12-14 mocks; the number marks man reaching for seven and falling short.
