Yahuah names Himself at the bush (Exod 3:14-15), and Isaiah gives the title its form: "I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no Elohim" (Isa 44:6; 41:4; 48:12). In Revelation it is the signature of Yahuah the Father, "which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty" (Rev 1:8); KJV 1:11's phrase is a scribal addition. Rev 22:12-13 echoes the Father's own "his reward is with him" (Isa 40:10) before "I Yahushua" marks a new speaker (22:16). The Son's "first and the last" is defined by "was dead, and is alive" (Rev 2:8; 1:17-18); Yahuah cannot die, so the Son is first from the dead (Col 1:18).
