Yahuah commanded an ark of shittim wood overlaid with gold with the testimony within: "there I will meet with thee" (Exod 25:10-22). The tables of the covenant rested in it (Deut 10:1-5; 1 Kgs 8:9), and it was taken when treated as a charm (1 Sam 4:3-11). Jeremiah foretold that the earthly ark would no more come to mind (Jer 3:16). In Revelation 11:19 the temple of Elohim is opened in heaven and the ark of His covenant is seen: throne, covenant and law in one object, the legal record by which mankind will be judged. Its appearance shows the standard has not changed, answering the teaching that the Law was nailed to the cross.
