The rebel boasts, "I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation" (Isa 14:13), har mo'ed, the mount of appointed assembly. Psalm 2 shows the kings taking counsel against Yahuah and His anointed while He sets His king on Zion, and Joel gathers the nations to the valley of Jehoshaphat, "for there will I sit to judge" (Joel 3:12). The Greek Harmagedon also sounds Megiddo, where kings fell (Judg 5:19; 2 Chr 35:22; Zech 12:11); the book hears the mount of assembly in it, and both point to a verdict, not a map. Armageddon is not a future tank battle in northern Israel but who governs the assembly: one war seen in chapters 16, 19 and 20.
