"Yahuah shall endure for ever: he hath prepared his throne for judgment" (Ps 9:7), and "righteousness and judgment are the habitation of his throne" (Ps 97:2). Daniel sees the Ancient of days seated, "whose garment was white as snow... his throne was like the fiery flame" (Dan 7:9). The earth waxes old like a garment (Isa 51:6). The great white throne is the final seat of a perfectly just Judge and the boundary between the old world and the new; earth and sky flee in the dissolution of the present order. One throne and one Judge: Yahuah judges, and the Son acts as the One He appointed (Acts 17:31), never as a second co-equal occupant.
