"Cursed is the ground for thy sake" (Gen 3:17) is the root sentence, bringing thorns, painful toil, and return to dust. Lamech names Noah for comfort "because of the ground which Yahuah hath cursed" (Gen 5:29), and after the Flood Yahuah says, "I will not again curse the ground" (Gen 8:21). Zechariah promises, "I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day" (Zech 3:9), and "there shall be no more utter destruction" (Zech 14:11). In Rev 22:3 Genesis 3's root sentence is completely and permanently gone; with the root removed there are no thorns, no painful toil, and no death, and what Zechariah's one day did at the tree is now the permanent condition.
