The male child is the seed promised in Genesis 3:15. Psalm 2 supplies his decree and his rod: "Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee... Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron" (Ps 2:7, 9). Isaiah names him "a man child" (Isa 66:7). "Man" is deliberate: dominion lost through the first man is restored through another man, the last Adam. His being caught up to the throne is His resurrection and exaltation, at the right hand of Yahuah (Ps 110:1), not a rapture of the assembly. A Son begotten "this day" and seated beside Yahuah is distinct from Him, not a coequal person.
