Eden's way is shut by the cherubim (Gen 3:24), and the ark's door is shut by Yahuah Himself: "and Yahuah shut him in" (Gen 7:16). Door imagery carries strong sanctuary meaning: "Open to me the gates of righteousness... This gate of Yahuah, into which the righteous shall enter" (Ps 118:19-20), and Hosea's valley of Achor becomes "a door of hope" (Hos 2:15). Rev 3:7 quotes Isaiah's key of David, "he shall open, and none shall shut" (Isa 22:22). An open door is access to His presence; a shut door is judgment or exclusion; Philadelphia's door stays open by His authority alone. The pre-tribulation rapture reading of this door ignores Noah, who was shut in and carried through, not taken out.
