Leviticus lists the covenant curses together: beasts, sword, pestilence and famine (Lev 26:22-26). Moses repeats them in his song (Deut 32:24-25), Jeremiah sorts Judah among them (Jer 15:2-3), and Ezekiel names "my four sore judgments upon Jerusalem, the sword, and the famine, and the noisome beast, and the pestilence" (Ezek 14:21). Revelation's pale horse is chloros, life drained by degrees, slow spiritual death under institutional religion. The fourth part is one complete covenant force, and the four plagues are Ezekiel's covenant judgments fully matured. The teaching of a future pandemic killing a quarter of mankind ignores that Ezekiel aimed these at a covenant people, not at a distant end-time world.
