A flaming sword first guards the way to the tree of life (Gen 3:24), and the priests are charged "to put difference between holy and unholy" (Lev 10:10). The Servant says, "he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword" (Isa 49:2); the Branch smites "with the rod of his mouth" (Isa 11:4); and Yahuah hews by the prophets and slays "by the words of my mouth" (Hos 6:5). The book reads the sword from His mouth as the Word that both defends and condemns, the instrument of verdict. At His return the weapon is His word, not a blade in His hand. A literal Armageddon battle misses it: the battle is won by the Word.
