At Sinai "Elohim answered him by a voice" (Exod 19:19); "the voice of Yahuah is upon the waters" (Ps 29:3). Ezekiel hears the wings of the living creatures "like the noise of great waters, as the voice of the Almighty" (Ezek 1:24), and when the glory returns to the house, "his voice was like a noise of many waters: and the earth shined with his glory" (Ezek 43:2). The book reads the voice in Revelation as divine authority, the voice of Yahuah Himself, the glory returning after the beast's long season. The Son speaks with that voice because, as He said, "the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say" (John 12:49).
