Tyre is the first harlot-city of commerce, singing to be remembered and committing fornication with all the kingdoms (Isa 23:15-17). Isaiah shows priest and prophet who "have erred through strong drink... they err in vision, they stumble in judgment" (Isa 28:7), and a people made drunk "but not with wine" under a spirit of deep sleep (Isa 29:9-10). "The nations have drunken of her wine; therefore the nations are mad" (Jer 51:7). Revelation's wine of fornication is false teaching that clouds judgment and weakens spiritual clarity, until nations lose their capacity to think clearly about covenant faithfulness. Doctrine that sets aside Yahuah's commandments works exactly this way: it does not argue the conscience down, it intoxicates it.
