Israel's first hymn asks, "Who is like unto thee, O Yahuah, among the gods?" (Exod 15:11), and the Shema binds that uniqueness to heart, soul and might: "Hear, O Israel: Yahuah our Elohim is one Yahuah" (Deut 6:4-5). Worship in the Torah is covenant allegiance, both bowing and service (Exod 20:5), and Elijah forced the choice on Carmel (1 Kgs 18:21). Revelation 13:4 parodies the hymn: "Who is like unto the beast?" The beast inverts the Shema, redirecting heart, soul and strength to a substitute while still using Yahuah's name, and the cry voices submission, not merely fear. The Shema's echad is the plain number one, a single Yahuah, not a compound unity of persons as Trinitarian teaching claims.
