This is the one that should stop a ‘the-law-is-done-away’ preacher cold, because Jubilee is nothing but law — debt, property, and liberty statute (Leviticus 25). Every fiftieth year debts were cancelled, bond-servants walked free, and every parcel of land reverted to its original family by legal title. The word for the freedom proclaimed is deror (H1865) — a manumission term, the legal release of one bound. There is no ‘spiritual feeling’ in Jubilee; it is a property-records reset enforced by statute. And it is the framework Yahushua read off the scroll to announce His own ministry (Luke 4:18-19) — He launched the good news in the language of release law.
