136Set Apart by Report

parad — Hebrew

Parad is to part, to sever — to drive a wedge between what was joined. Where badal separates by lawful category, parad separates by injury: “a whisperer separateth chief friends” (Proverbs 16:28); “he that repeateth a matter separateth very friends” (Proverbs 17:9). It is severance produced by testimony thrown between — the slander that splits a bond, the report that parts brothers. In the court of the break, parad is the diabolos's work reaching the ground: the charge thrown becomes the friendship severed.
The Root

parad (H6504) — to divide, separate, part, sever — often of relationships broken.

The Courtroom Word

A severance term — division worked between parties by injurious testimony, not by lawful judgment.

Its Role in the Court

A lawful court parts the guilty from the innocent by verdict. The break parts brother from brother by whisper — parad is division engineered, the wedge driven by a report repeated. It is the diabolos operating at ground level: the thrown charge lands, and a bond that should have held is severed. The tell is the whisper — not testimony given openly and tested, but a matter repeated to part friends.

Proof Texts

Proverbs 16:28 “A whisperer separateth chief friends.” Severance by slander — parad.

Proverbs 17:9 “He that repeateth a matter separateth very friends.” The repeated report that parts a bond.

Proverbs 6:19 “He that soweth discord among brethren.” Among the things Yahuah hates — the parad worker condemned.

Proverbs 18:1 “Through desire a man, having separated himself, seeketh and intermeddleth.” Self-severance from the body.

In Plain Terms

Parad means to split apart — to sever a bond. In the break it is division on purpose: the whisper that turns friends against each other, the repeated story that parts brothers.

It is slander with a target — not just a lie told, but a bond broken by it. Scripture lists sowing discord among the brethren among the things Yahuah hates.

Bring It Home

Two brothers stand together until a third keeps carrying words between them — a little here, a little there, each repeated at the right moment. Nothing is proven; everything is severed. That is parad: not a verdict that separates the guilty, but a whisper that separates friends. The break does not always attack the law head-on; sometimes it just parts the people who were keeping it together.

Courtroom Roles
  • The whisperer (in the break) parts friends by testimony thrown between.
  • The severed brethren (the injured parties) divided by a charge never proven.
  • Yahuah (the Judge) who hates the sowing of discord and sees the wedge for what it is.
In the Break

Severance worked by testimony thrown between brothers — division engineered, not adjudicated.
