The Psalms first promise that "the sun shall not smite thee by day" (Ps 121:6). Isaiah carries it forward: "neither shall the heat nor sun smite them" (Isa 49:10); "Adonai Yahuah will wipe away tears from off all faces" (Isa 25:8); "sorrow and sighing shall flee away" (Isa 35:10). Revelation joins heat and tears and ends them together. These are judicial pronouncements, a court ruling that vacates every prior condition. Millennial teaching borrows Isa 65:19-20 for an earthly thousand-year kingdom, but Isaiah frames the passage with "I create new heavens and a new earth" (Isa 65:17), and Revelation sets the wiped tears there (Rev 21:1-4), not in an intermediate age.
