Five months first measure the Flood: from the seventeenth day of the second month to the seventeenth of the seventh, the waters prevailed "an hundred and fifty days" (Gen 7:11, 24; 8:3-4). The Torah then fixes the prophetic scale, "each day for a year" (Num 14:34) (Ezek 4:6). In Revelation 9:5, 10 the locusts from the pit torment men five months, which by a day for a year is 150 years, aligned with early Ottoman expansion, 1299-1449: a judgment carefully measured. Yahuah bounds the torment as He bounded the waters. Futurist teaching makes this a literal five-month plague after a secret rapture, but the trumpets sound through the assembly age, not after its removal.
