Jeremiah first sends "the four winds from the four quarters of heaven" to scatter Elam (Jer 49:36). Ezekiel announces the end "upon the four corners of the land" (Ezek 7:2), and Daniel sees "the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea" (Dan 7:2). Ezekiel also shows the pattern of Revelation 7: the destroyers wait until a mark is set "upon the foreheads" of those who sigh (Ezek 9:4-6). Revelation's held winds are the Court's injunction, held by protocol, not mercy interrupting wrath, until Yahuah's own are marked. The futurist teaching that the sealing waits until after a rapture is answered by Ezekiel: the sealed are marked while still in the city.
