Adam first hides "from the presence of Yahuah Elohim amongst the trees" (Gen 3:8). Isaiah sends the proud "into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth" (Isa 2:19), Hosea hears them say "to the mountains, Cover us" (Hos 10:8), and Malachi asks, "who shall stand when he appeareth?" (Mal 3:2). Revelation's hiding kings are the powerful who know they are exposed; the defense has no rebuttal. "Who shall be able to stand?" is answered in chapter 7. The secret-rapture teaching removes the assembly before this wrath, but chapter 7 answers the question with servants sealed and standing on the earth, not taken from it.
