The queen enters in the days of Ahab, who married Jezebel "and went and served Baal" (1 Kgs 16:31). She cut off the prophets of Yahuah (1 Kgs 18:4, 19), and Jehu names "the whoredoms of thy mother Jezebel and her witchcrafts" (2 Kgs 9:22). The book reads the Thyatira prophetess as that influence inside the assembly, the one who erased the line between holy and unholy. Her children are followers produced by her teaching, her bed is unrepentant sin as spiritual sickness, and the depths of Satan are the hidden, mystical corruption tied to her.
