The royal psalm first sets the scene: "in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and righteousness" (Ps 45:4). Habakkuk sees Yahuah's "bow made quite naked" (Hab 3:9), and Zechariah's white horses go forth among the patrols (Zech 6:3, 6). White is cleansing (Isa 1:18). Revelation's white horse is the message of Messiah going out in its purest form in the apostolic age, a victorious advance, not judgment. The bow never fires; conquest comes through proclamation, and the stephanos is a victor's crown, not political kingship. The futurist teaching that this rider is an antichrist imitating Messiah in a coming tribulation reverses the psalm: this rider rides because of truth.
