Adoption is a formal legal act that places a person into a family as son, with the full inheritance rights of one born to it. It is a courtroom placement, not a change of biology: “ye have received the Spirit of adoption” (Romans 8:15). Under the law an adopted son’s former debts were cancelled and his new standing was fixed and irreversible. To be adopted by Yahuah is to be legally installed as son and heir, granted a standing and an estate one was never born to — the old account wiped, the new status entered on the record.

Its Role in the Court

Standing in the household is conferred by decree, not earned by birth. Adoption enters a new party on the estate with full rights of inheritance and cancels what stood against him. It is why the believer can be called heir: the placement is legal and secured, not a sentiment of belonging.
