59Bought
agorazo (egorasthete) — Greek
agorazo (G59) — to buy in the market, to purchase; egorasthete, ‘ye were bought’.
The same verb, two aspects: to buy (the act) and to have been bought (the completed purchase). Title moved; the receipt is the price.
A completed-purchase term — ownership transferred by a price paid.
A purchase moves title, and the price establishes the claim. To be bought is to have a new owner with the owner’s rights — and, for the redeemed, an Owner who defends what He paid for. The transaction is closed and recorded; the believer is no longer his own but lawfully held, the receipt written in the price.
Revelation 5:9 “Hast redeemed us to Yahuah by thy blood.” The purchase completed, title moved.
1 Corinthians 6:20 “Ye are bought with a price.” The transaction stated flat.
1 Corinthians 7:23 “Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men.” One Owner, His rights over the bought.
2 Peter 2:1 “Denying the Lord that bought them.” The purchase real even where denied.
To be bought means the purchase is done and title has moved — you belong to the buyer, and the price paid proves the claim. For the redeemed, that is security: the Owner defends what He paid for.
A sale closes when the price is paid and the title changes hands — the thing bought now belongs to the buyer, with all an owner’s rights. That is the redeemed: bought, title transferred, receipt written in blood. Not diminished by it — secured by it, because the Owner protects what cost Him so much.
- Yahuah (the Owner) acquires the redeemed by the price; holds and defends them.
- Yahushua (the price) the blood by which the purchase was made.
- The redeemed (the property bought) lawfully claimed, answerable to the Owner.
Movement IV — The Acquittal. Charged and unable to pay, you are cleared at the tree — the Father laid the account on the Lamb He provided. Entry by blood.
